UPDATES COMING TO

STUDENT CONNECT

Student Connect is a weekend program for students in grades 6-12. We have age specific content for Middle and High School with the goal of better training our students to share their faith and discover how God has uniquely wired them to live it out. Every year we will be training our High School students on these topics, all while encouraging them, when they are ready, to find a place to serve on the weekends.

MEETING TIMES

High School and Middle School Student Connect:

ROCKWALL: Saturday 6:15 PM, Sunday 9:30 or 11 AM

MESQUITE: Sunday 9:30 or 11 AM

FIREWHEEL: Saturday 6:15 PM, Sunday 10 or 11:30 AM

FORNEY: Saturday 6:15 PM, Sunday 10 or 11:30 AM

NORTH DALLAS: Sunday 9:30 or 11 AM

EAST DALLAS: Sunday 9:30 AM

What should my student bring?
Students are encouraged to bring a Bible, journal and a ready heart for service. We recommend leaving all backpacks and large purses at home or checking them in at the front when you arrive.

What topics do you cover at Student Connect?

Spring Semester – High School

  • Secrets to Praying Well
  • Why I Believe (A study on Apologetics)
  • How to Study the Bible (Walking through the Book of James)
  • Hard Questions: Gender, sexuality, and what God says
  • Responding to worldviews

Spring Semester – Middle School

  • Anthem – Understanding Worship and why it’s important
  • Not Okay – Dealing with stress and anxiety
  • Plot Twist – Understanding the gospel
  • Going Places – Developing good friendships that honor God
  • Guiding Light – A series on making wise choices
What does this mean for my Middle Schooler?

With these updates we will also be creating more targeted content for our Middle School students, providing impactful Bible study materials that resonate with their unique age and stage of life.

Where should my student attend on the weekends?

If your family attends one programming hour on the weekends, we recommend our Middle School and High School students attend the Worship Service.  We believe that the messages and worship they will receive there is the best our Church has to offer.

If your family attends 2 hours on a weekend, we recommend Middle School students attend Student Connect and a Worship Service.  For our High School students, serving is a great way to spend their 2nd hour at Church on the weekend, and we’d love to help your High School student find the perfect opportunity to serve.  We also know that some of our High School students are not ready to serve, so we recommend Student Connect as a place to continue to grow in their faith.

STUDENT MISSIONS

Missions trips are exciting opportunities for students to put their faith into action, serve others and Make A Difference. These trips will allow students to step outside their comfort zone and experience new cultures and communities. When students go on mission, they grow both spiritually and personally, making a lasting impact on those they serve and in their own lives.
