Rooted is a 10-week discipleship experience that helps you grow closer to God and find community through a group. Whether you're exploring what it means to follow Jesus, ready to grow deeper in your faith or are looking for people to do life with, Rooted is for you.

FAQ

What campus should I choose?

It is our hope and prayer that your Rooted Group becomes your ongoing Life Group post-Rooted. With this in mind, we recommend joining a Rooted group at the campus that is closest to where you live so that you can be a part of a group in your local community. 

Do you offer Rooted online?

At Lakepointe, Rooted is intentionally designed as an in-person experience. We believe spiritual growth happens best when people gather together—building authentic relationships, engaging in meaningful conversation, and walking alongside one another in biblical community. Because of this vision, we do not offer an online option.

If you’re unable to participate in person, we encourage you to connect with a local church in your area. Discipleship is meant to be lived out in community, and our prayer is that you find a church home where you can grow in your faith, build meaningful relationships, and continue taking next steps with Jesus.

How are Rooted groups formed?

Rooted groups are prayerfully formed by your campus based on age and stage of life, with groups for men, women, or married couples. Groups typically include 10–15 people. While we do our best to honor friend or leader requests, placements may vary based on availability.

What if I can't make it every week of Rooted?

Rooted is a 10-week experience, with groups meeting for two hours each week. For the best experience for you and your group, we ask participants to plan to miss no more than two weeks. If you already know you’ll miss more than that, we recommend joining a future Rooted session.

Can I go through Rooted if I'm already in a Life Group?

We’d love for your Life Group to experience Rooted together! For questions about what that looks like, reach out to your campus Groups Pastor.

What happens after Rooted ends?

After Rooted, groups are encouraged to continue meeting as an ongoing Life Group—growing in discipleship to Jesus in community.

What are the discipleship rhythms we will be learning about and engaging in?

Grounded in God’s word, the seven rhythms are the foundation of the Rooted experience. Each of these rhythms was practiced by the early church in Acts 2. The seven rhythms include: 

    • Daily devotion (Acts 2:42,46)
    • Prayer (Acts 2:42)
    • Repentance (Acts 2:37-39)
    • Sacrificial generosity (Acts 2:44-45)
    • Serve the community (Acts 2:44-45)
    • Share your story (Acts 2:24-36)
    • Worship (Acts 2:26-28, 46-47)
