FAQ
How do we check in?
You can easily use any phone number associated with your family! When you check in, you will receive your camper's check-in sticker along with the in-slip and out-slip. Whoever is picking up your camper will need to have the out-slip or a picture of the out-slip at checkout. Your camper’s room assignment will be on their check-in slip.
What time should we arrive?
Exterior doors will open at 12:30 PM to begin checking in. We want to make the check-in process as smooth as possible and provide extra time for those who need it. Drop-off will begin in the classrooms at 12:45 PM.
What are the bathroom procedures?
If your camper is 13 years old or younger and needs assistance in the bathroom or a diaper change, 2 staff members will be able to assist them. If your camper is 14 or older, 2 staff members will be able to give verbal cues for bathroom assistance; if your camper needs more assistance, we will not be able to accommodate assisting them.
If you have any questions, please email us at specialneeds@lakepointe.church.
What activities will Soar Camp have?
This year, electives will include activities like yoga, music therapy, gardening, a talent show, and more! We are so excited to share these awesome experiences with you all.
What will my child experience each day at Soar Camp?
Every camper will be assigned to a room and a buddy based on their age and/or abilities and will participate in different rotations with fun activities. Each group will have an assigned leader(s) to ensure safety and have a great experience. Room leaders will guide their group through amazing experiences, including:
- Out-of-Room Activities: Inflatables, Games, Silent Disco, and more
- Crafts: Experiments and Crafts
- Bible Story: Digging into God’s Word
Will there be any meals?
Please have your camper eat lunch before arriving. We will provide snacks and drinks during Soar Camp. All snacks will be nut-free, and gluten-free and dairy-free options will be available. If your camper has additional food allergies, please send an appropriate snack with them, and be sure to communicate their allergy needs to their buddy.
