WEEK THREE

1 CORINTHIANS 4:20

Thursday, September 19

“When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.”

Acts 3:1-10

Their perceived need is silver and gold. Their actual need is to encounter the healing touch of Jesus. After encountering Jesus, the sitting beggar became a jumping worshiper. And everyone around noticed. What does your worship reveal to others about your encounter with Jesus?

PRAY FOR SELF:
God, thank you for working in my life. I confess there are times when my worship does not reflect the change in my heart. Do not allow the fire that you lit in me be diminished, but instead use your Holy Spirit to fan into flame my passion for you. In Jesus’ name, amen.

PRAY FOR CHURCH:
God, we ask that our worship towards you may be reflected in our actions, our work, our gatherings, our relationships, and everything we are and everything we do. Fill us with your glory and as our church gathers for Encounter, give us boldness to invite friends to experience your life-changing love. In Jesus’ name, amen.
