WEEK ONE

ISAIAH 64:1-2

Sunday, September 1

“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the LORD appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush.”

EXODUS 3:1-2

Moses had grown up with the glitz and glamour of palace life. But now he was tending sheep in the wilderness. He's probably walked that path a hundred times. Poked that one stubborn ram one more time. And God showed up. He does that–He appears in the ordinary. How would your life be different if you sought the fire of God every day?

PRAY FOR SELF:
God, I am asking you to reveal yourself to me in my ordinary routine today. I am asking that the Holy Spirit would light something inside of me that allows me to see your goodness on display that I might not have seen before. In Jesus' name, amen.

PRAY FOR CHURCH:
God, I ask that you may lead us to encounter your presence in our day-to-day lives. May we remember you've called your church to be a burning bush that carries your presence wherever we are and wherever we go. In Jesus' name, amen.
