RESIDENCY PROGRAM?
The Lakepointe Residency is an 11-month program designed to equip and prepare young adults who have recently completed their schooling and are ready to be trained in ministry. If you are ready to step into your calling, passionately pursue Jesus, and be inspired and challenged by other leaders, then the Lakepointe Residency is for you.

Who is this program for?
The Lakepointe Residency is designed for adults aged 21–25 who are college graduates or equivalent and are called to ministry. The residency is just one part of the School of Ministry. We will eventually be building programs for high school students, college students and those already in the marketplace.
When does the Residency start?
The Lakepointe Residency will begin on June 19, 2024, and ends on May 22, 2025.
Where will residents live?
Housing will be provided for Lakepointe Residents. They will live together in an apartment or apartment-like setting in Rockwall, TX.
What resources are provided?
Lakepointe Residents will receive a Chromebook and any other books/resources needed for training. They will also receive a $1,000 stipend each month for general expenses.
When is the application deadline?
The application window closes on Feb 28, 2024. Selections and commitments will be made by March 31, 2024.
What is the interview process?
After completing the application and requirements, you may be selected to start a series of interviews.
- Phone interview with Lakepointe staff.
- Zoom or in-person interview with Lakepointe staff.
- Attend an invite-only preview event (travel expenses paid by Lakepointe).
- Additional interviews by phone if needed.
What are some hands-on opportunities?
Each Lakepointe Resident will be assigned a trainer to shadow and learn from. Residents will be active in local missions, serve on two mission trips, attend two spiritual retreats, and lead out in our student summer camp.
What will the schedule be like?
The first six weeks will include student camp, a mission trip and training to help discover your calling. You will then be paired with a trainer and a ministry track with the following schedule:
- Sunday–Wednesday: Work with your Lakepointe Team at various Campuses.
- Thursday: Train with all Lakepointe Residents at Rockwall Campus.
- Friday: Sabbath.
- Saturday: Worship and serve at Saturday night service at Rockwall Campus.

Alli Stone was born and raised in a suburb of Houston called Katy, Texas. She has always had a passion for missions and people as she grew up in a big family consisting of eight children. She pursued her heart for missions by serving on mission trips with her local church every time she had a chance. This passion led her to attend Baylor University to receive a BA in Religion. While there, she spent two summers with Pine Cove Summer Camps where she counseled 6th and 7th grade girls. Since arriving at Lakepointe, she has been able to live out her calling working in Kids Ministry with 4th and 5th graders, as well as attending mission trips to both Denver and Tokyo. Alli has led out in her position at Lakepointe Church with the same passion and joy that she exemplifies in day-to-day life, and is excited to see where the Lord leads her next.

Allison grew up in Rockport, Texas which is a suburb just outside the Corpus Christi area. She attended Texas State University majoring in Human Development and Family studies. During her time as a high school student she served in the student ministry as a leader and continued on in other leadership roles to further develop her call to ministry. Allison is not swayed by any resistance, instead utilizes her time and maximizes her potential with laser focus while tapping into her drive to achieve her life goals. Allison wants to continue her time in ministry by creating and developing activities as well as leading in mentoring programs.

Amirah grew up in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was called to ministry in her sophomore year of high school while studying biomedical engineering. Gaining a new understanding of spiritual health, she went to study Ministry Leadership at Highlands College in Birmingham, Alabama. Serving as a student event coordinator, she fell in love with planning and setting up events and stewarding the presence of God. As her college years ended, looking towards what’s next, Amirah began her residency at Lakepointe Church. Amirah organized and executed events for different ministries including Students, Connections, and Church events.

Bella was born in Oklahoma City but raised in Melissa, Texas. She received her call to ministry in her freshman year of high school and started serving with her church’s preschool classes every week. She went to Ouachita Baptist University and graduated with a degree in Christian Studies with an emphasis in Christian Ministry and an emphasis in Biblical Studies and Theology. She knew she needed more training in practical ministry which she has gotten as a part of our School of Ministry. She worked at our East Dallas campus during this campus relaunch in our kids ministry and social media for the relaunch. Bella has a gift for administration, connecting with families, and doing whatever it takes to make ministry happen.

Brayden was born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. A significant passion of his growing up included all things sports-related. The Lord was able to use his passion for sports to lead him to pursue a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Sport/Performance from Grand Canyon University. During his time at GCU, he got involved in a local campus ministry, Life Leaders. In this ministry, Brayden got to lead Bible studies for his campus apartments as well as, in later years, disciple and train other Life Leaders. From an early age, Brayden had thought of pursuing coaching athletics; however, through experiences such as Life Leaders and working in student ministry at Lakepointe, the Lord has shifted his passions to a life of counseling others. He has a strong love for students and wants to help them find freedom from the trials/burdens they face in life. Brayden plans to attend graduate school in the fall to pursue his LPCC and take the next steps in his career.

Easton was born in Charlotte, North Carolina with a desire for culture, communication, intentionally loving and developing people, and intimacy with Jesus. She pursued a Business Communications degree at Liberty University while shepherding small group leaders to be able to teach the Gospel and pastor college girls. She was called to ministry at Liberty University and found a love for caring about people’s intimacy with Jesus. At Lakepointe, Easton has fallen in love with the role of prayer in the local church and teaching people about the intimacy of Jesus through many different avenues including serving in missions, worship, public speaking, writing, and student ministry.

Elijah was born and raised in Mesquite, Texas. He felt called to ministry during his college career while pursuing a degree in Music Education at Texas A&M University-Commerce. Post college, Elijah pursued ways in which he could grow in his calling God had on his life. This included writing spiritual resources for online ministries, creating bible plans for his local church, interning for churches in the Dallas area, and now joining the Lakepointe Residency Program. During Elijah’s time at Lakepointe, he has loved having the opportunity to care for life groups, integrate and build systems that allow for greater growth for new and existing members, as well as build leadership teams to serve team members/life groups and excited for the opportunities to further the kingdom ahead.

Elisabeth was born and raised in the small town of Danville, Virginia. She started following Jesus when she was thirteen and the Lord called her to ministry at the age of seventeen. She truly acknowledged her call to ministry while pursuing her BS in Psychology Counseling at Liberty University when she felt burdened to see the Gospel advanced in all generations through effective discipleship that is marked by multiplication. While at Lakepointe, Elisabeth has been overwhelmed with God’s grace as she has worked with middle school girls in Lakepointe’s student ministry. During this time, the Lord has given her a passion for seeing the next generation come to know Jesus and walk in an intimate relationship with Him for the rest of their lives. While working in the student ministry, Elisabeth has been allowed to care for leaders and students, recruit new leaders, build teams, multiply small groups, and help create new systems that increase the effectiveness of the ministry. She has been equipped to organize and facilitate ministry events through time working as an events supervisor at Liberty University.

Emma was born in Guatemala. And fell in love with ministry while helping out as an interpreter on medical missions all around Guatemala. She moved to the US in the fall of 2019 to study at Moody Bible Institute. She graduated in 2023 with a BA in Communications with an emphasis in Theology. She is currently working with Lakepointe en Español in the creative team and kids ministry. Her passion is to share the gospel in visual ways in which people can feel connected. She started and manages the photography team, and helps out with graphic design and video.

Jayden was born in Las Vegas, Nevada, and moved to Fate, TX, and started to attend Lakepointe Church as a new believer. He accepted Christ and was baptized two months later and felt his call to ministry six months later as he served faithfully in Kids, Students ,The Food Pantry and Lakepointe’s Young Adults Leadership team. He is a first generation Christian, who’s challenging upbringing has given him a huge heart for youth. Through his experiences he has a softened heart for Next Gen Ministry and has felt that he’s been given a unique gift to meet lost kids where they are at. God gave him the eyes for those kids that need to be seen, the ears to hear those who feel like they don’t have a voice, and the heart to love those who don’t know the love of God. He was accepted into the Lakepointe School of Ministry and has been placed in a hybrid role of Kids ministry while also serving in Students. He’s been able to preach and teach to 100’s at a time, Shepherd kids, students, and adults, Lead volunteer teams and build up leaders. He can’t wait to see how God continues to lead him to serve the next generation in this new season of life.

Jeremi is a passionate, faith-based ministry and non-profit leader who has a unique desire to serve the body of Christ through outreach and missions while ensuring that all people experience the love of God. Jeremi holds a Bachelor of Business Management from Amridge University he has previously served in several leadership roles for nonprofit organizations and has worked with many organizations striving to make a difference such as The City of Montgomery Young Professional Council, Lakepointe Church Residency, Head Start Community Action Management Intern and Montgomery Public School office aide as well as Fresh Anointing House of Worship. Through these experiences, whether it was engaging with constituents, mentoring students, or working with a religious faith-based leadership team, he has been able to develop and hone critical thinking skills, emotional awareness skills, communication skills, and faith-based leadership skills. He was also selected as an Omega Psi Phi Fraternity citizen of the year for 2020-2021. José was born and raised in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, where he and his family planted churches in multiple cities for years. Being saturated in ministry from an early age allowed him to fall in love with it and develop a unique heart for the lost and spiritual formation. Later on, he moved to the U.S. seeking deeper studies in ministry at Christ For The Nations Institute, in Dallas, where his passion for cultivating life change was solidified. While completing his studies, he started volunteering at Lakepointe Church, where he would start his residency program a year later. He served as the student associate pastor and next steps point person at the Lakepointe en Español in the Rockwall campus, where he served in multiple capacities, cultures, and languages. He has a fire to strengthen the body of Christ and teach truth through valuing family and always focusing on leading from a humble heart. His proactive approach, adaptability, and initiative bring momentum to any team!

Kynli was born and raised in Shreveport, Louisiana. She felt called to ministry at a summer camp she attended as a small group leader at a church where she volunteered. Shortly after she got offered a full-time job at the same church she went to camp with and worked there for three years. While working at that church she did many ministry tasks, including administration, graphic design, student ministry, and also leading worship. She felt like the Lord was calling her to get more ministry training with a full focus on student ministry, and that’s when she found the Lakepointe School of Ministry on Instagram. While being in the SOM, she’s been able to discover that Student Ministry is what she’s truly passionate about.

With a heart set on serving, she embodies the spirit of follow-through and follow-up, ensuring no child or volunteer is left behind. Thriving in setting the table for ministry, Megan often prefers to stay behind the scenes while ensuring every child is known, loved, and cared for. Morgan Was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She began her path with kids ministry from a very young age and has worked with them on various occasions like children’s ministry in various churches and Camp ministry through her summers in college. Morgan graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s in education early childhood-6th grade and then went on to be a second-grade teacher for a year. During that year of teaching is where she felt a call to ministry as she began serving with the students at Lakepointe and chose to pursue ministry full time where she has spent the year in the residency program in kids ministry. She embodies what it means to do whatever it takes and encourages others to pursue their passions in what God has called them to do. She wants to make sure that every child is encouraged, and valued and they walk away knowing that they are loved by God. Natalie was born in Dallas, Texas and started to develop a deep passion for community in high school. While in college, she started to discover her calling to ministry while serving as a NextGen and Social Media intern in Dallas, in addition to launching a Delight Ministries Chapter on her college campus and serving in her local church. After graduation, she spent a year on a mission with Delight as a Regional Director overseeing universities in Texas, Colorado, and New Mexico to help foster Christ-centered communities on college campuses. She was led to Lakepointe School of Ministry shortly after where she is the High School Resident at our Rockwall Campus and Creative Resident for School of Ministry socials. Rylie was born in the south but grew up in the Pacific Northwest. She planted churches with her family for 11 years in Washington and British Columbia where she experienced ministry in a hard-to-reach city. Church planting allowed her to experience church ministry while ministering to a lost community where she developed a heart for the lost. For college, Rylie studied at Dallas Baptist University where she pursued a Bachelor of Psychology. While attending DBU, she was involved in a traveling ministry that ran Disciple Nows in multiple churches in the south. She has experience in worship ministry and youth ministry through this experience. She has a heart for the lost and is passionate about kids and students.

With a heart to serve God, Taija Alexus began her music journey at the age of six years old. Since that time, Taija has taken the gifts that God has given her as a multi-layered Christian/Gospel Worship Artist and uses them to bring God glory. Tyler was born in Chicago and then grew up in Atlanta. He gave his life to Christ when he was 17, and almost immediately was called into ministry by God after working as a camp counselor. It was then that Tyler attended Liberty University where the Lord continued to confirm his calling into ministry. While at Liberty, he also got to work out his calling through different opportunities in campus ministry. Tyler then graduated with a student ministry degree, with a heart to see students far from God give their life to Christ and see students discover what it means to be seen, known, and deeply loved by God. While at Lakepointe, Tyler had been blessed with the opportunity to serve with middle and high school students in the student ministry. During this season, the Lord has developed a fire in Tyler to see students discover what it means to walk step-in-step with Christ through prayer and discipleship. While serving within the student ministry, Tyler has had opportunities to recruit, train, and develop leaders, build and lead teams, teach and preach regularly on Sunday mornings and Wednesday nights, write teaching curriculum, and partner with schools for programs and campus ministry.

Will was born in North Carolina as the second child among four brothers. He grew up in church, and he experienced great discipleship throughout his adolescent and teen years. He was the primary worship leader at his home church, and truly fell in love with leading people to see God through Spirit-filled worship. He experienced a powerful move of God in his life through a series of mission trips that He went on in high school, which eventually led to a call to vocational ministry. He began to work out this calling in college at Liberty University by leading worship and teaching every chance he got. When he concluded his Bachelors in Biblical Studies, a friend recruited him to the Lakepointe School of Ministry where he continued to maximize his potential as a leader and pastor. While a resident at Lakepointe he has worked as a Worship Resident who led and developed strong teams on a campus level, and he has recently transitioned to a role as a programming specialist in the student ministry. In this new role, he works to connect his giftings as a communicator, an administrator, a worshiper, and a pastor.
